Dear New Believer,
Welcome to God's family! We rejoice with you in the recent decision you made to follow Jesus Christ! Having received the Lord as your personal Savior means you've begun a new life. the Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" (NLT)
If you have sincerely asked Christ to become your Lord and Savior, then you can be sure He has done so. Often we make the mistake of assuming that God has deserted us if we don't feel it.
Don't believe it!
Jesus said, " Those who the Father has given Me will come to Me, I will never reject them." (John 6:37)
Now that you're saved, it's important to start living living for Him. Repentance not only requires admitting that we were living a life dominated by sin, but it also involves action to correct that behavior. As Christians we are servants of Jesus, no longer slaves of sin. "In the same way count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus...no longer let sin reign in your body." (Romans 6:11)
