Promise of God - Jesus is our Savior
- Romans 3:22-24, “even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,”
I’ve always been a competitor in some way, shape or form growing up and, a little to my shame, even as an adult. I’m not sure where it came from, it just was always in me. Probably in some way, to please my family at accomplishing a certain feat. I never really dealt well with losing in anything.
In the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus – we are made righteous by the work of the cross; through His work, His suffering, and His obedience, with the condition, if we believe. There is no partiality from God. There is no difference; we all receive or are made righteous by Jesus Christ and Him only. You don’t have to perform a certain feat, be a competitor in any way, or be a part of a winning team. He won for us. Just being in the stands is enough.
Don’t be fooled into believing that you do not need the promise of the Savior. We all have “missed the mark” in our lives, the bullseye. The murderer, the adulterer, the thief, even the one dealing with internal failing such as pride, or deceitfulness, are all the same. We all, through faith in Jesus Christ, have been rendered righteous and released by the payment of the cross. We have been redeemed!
ALL BY HIS GRACE! The unmerited favor of God, given to us without regard to what we deserve. It is a gift motivated purely by the Giver and motivated by nothing in the one who receives. Through our faith in Him, the promise of the Savior is secure.
Blessings,
-Rich A.
