Psalm 3:1-2, "LORD, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah

All of us at times feel overwhelmed with the stress of keeping up with the responsibilities of work and family. Especially now, with the constraints of the pandemic; many people are either out of work or having to work from home. Additionally, all the kids must be homeschooled, and I’m sure we all appreciate our children’s teachers now more than ever.

As an aside, my wife was a teacher for years and she said many parents would leave it up to the teachers for their children’s progress, and then blame them if they were failing their classes. When in truth, teaching our children should start at home and then be reinforced after school by overseeing their homework.

When it seems like people are against us and increasing in number; it’s likely due to our perception and not reality. When I’m stressed I’ll start thinking “Don’t they know how much they're getting on my nerves, and why don’t they back off.” During those moments the Lord is trying to show me that the primary reason for my agitation and frustration is my fault.

Some people tend to blame everyone and everything but themselves for their problems.

As a Christian, I should really be thankful when I get stressed out because it’s a reminder that I need to spend more time aligning my heart and mind, through God’s word and in prayer.

Psalm 121:2, "My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth."
