Romans 8:15-16, "For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God."
Sons and daughters of the Lord of Lords. Wow, we are a unique and privileged bunch. We have the distinct and sweet honor to refer to the sublime God of all creation as Abba. Abba is an Aramaic word (the language of the common Jewish person of Jesus’ time). It’s a term of endearment used when referring to your father. In this case THEEE Father. It is akin to calling your earthly father Dad or Daddy.
As we read through the preceding verses leading up to these declarations we learn that God the Father dwells within us through the Spirit and gives us the power and ability to live a victorious life over sin if we HAVE the Son, Jesus. We are adopted and brought into the family of God by Jesus’ beautiful selfless act. The Spirit assures us and gives us the liberty to see the God of the universe not only as the creative authority overall but as our personal Dad, to whom we owe all reverence and worship.
You know when you feel conviction prior to committing sin? You know when you feel that special warmth after a moment of sadness and you know this also will pass? You know that special time of worship you dedicate to the Father and you are certain that you feel His strong but velvet like caress upon your heart? It's all God. It's all His Spirit giving testimony to your spirit that you are a child of God.
It's so beautiful, it's so real…. I know that sometimes as I reach up in worship and desire to lift Him up with all my heart, soul and strength, I know if I were able to peel back the curtain of Heaven I would see my Heavenly Father reaching down.
Thank you Jesus, it's all YOU!!!

Please pray for those who stood to rededicate or give their lives to Christ in yesterday's service. May they be rooted and grounded in God's love!
Please continue to lift Juliet G. in prayer. Her pain is increasing. She will be a having surgery on February 23 to remove a mass from her spine. Please pray for healing, and encouragement for her and her family.
De Leon family at the passing of Sandra's father.
Please continue to pray for the Lee family – (Comfort and Salvation) Joey Lee passed away on Friday from Covid. The services will be held February 12 at CC El Monte (the Lee family are childhood friends of Pastor Manny who will be officiating the service). (2/1)
For our Nation - that we would return to the Lord and that He would have His hand upon us. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
