Exodus 20:12, “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you."
Honoring your father and mother sounds like an easy task but as a son, this was and still not easy. How many of us can look back to where we struggled to keep this commandment. Maybe some of us are in a position right now where we have lost favor with our parents or at odds with them. Whether by choice for disagreement from decisions or inadvertently through circumstance, the relationship between children and parents are unique and delicate to say the least.
Some may say it's their parents that are wrong. Some may even blame their lives and current situations on their parents. They may think they are rightly just so to cast blame, yet we have the perfect example for a parent child relationship with Jesus Christ and God the Father. We are not called to honor our mother and father because they are right or what they do is right, but because it is right to do so. By honoring our mother and father we bring honor to our God. This commandment from God in the Old Testament was referenced by Jesus himself in Matthew 15:4.

Please continue to lift Juliet G. in prayer. She's been in pain lately. She will be a having surgery on February 23 to remove a mass from her spine. Please pray for healing, and encouragement for her and her family.
Please continue to pray for Baby Norah Rae - that she would continue to get stronger each day. Pray also for mommy and daddy, Raelene and Raymond, and the entire extended family.
Please pray for the many families who are grieving the passing of a loved one.
Please pray for the Lee family – (Comfort and Salvation) Joey Lee passed away on Friday from Covid. (The Lee family are childhood friends of Pastor Manny who will be officiating the service). (1/31)
For our Nation - that we would return to the Lord and that He would have His hand upon us. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
