Matthew 19:13-15, "Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the Kingdom of heaven. 15 And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.'"

As I sit here thinking and writing about the extremely high value of attention that Jesus gave to little children and how much they mean to Him, I can’t help but look at my niece whom we’ve had the blessing to be a big part of her life, although she is only three and half years old she means the world to our family. From the day she came to live with us, I promised her that I would love her, protect her, and provide for her. And it amazes me how she loves me without a doubt and how loved and protected she feels with us. I often pray for her and her mother, when she is with me I devote all the attention I can to her needs. And this is how Jesus is with us He promised to provide us with eternal life ( John 10:10 ), He promised acceptance ( John 6:37), and He promised us His friendship ( John 15:14-15).

Now as His children we must come to Him who first loved us and gave Himself for us, He has taught us that we must love the children and bless them with His word daily. That we must not refuse to be a blessing to children whether in the children’s nursery or teaching them in higher grades all that we do must be done for the glory of our Lord Jesus.

Your brother in Christ,
- Peter
