"All this in a Name," by Pat Barrett
From: Manny
Pat Barrett's latest album, "I've Got A Fire," was released on October 3, 2025.
The album is his fourth studio album and features 11 tracks.
I first discovered the song, "All this in a Name," when my daughter Ariel posted it on one of our Church Instagram stories. It immediately captured my heart. The first verse says, "There's healing in the name, Freedom in the name, Power in the name..." Of course he's speaking and singing of the name of Jesus! Which is the emphasis of the chorus (King Jesus) to be more specific. Do you know the power of Jesus' Name? (Philippians 2:10; Acts 4:12)
Check out the song when you have a minute, maybe add it to your "New Songs" playlist. I do thank God for the oldies, I have many of them, but we need to add to those classic oldies - new songs that are theologically sound. The Bible specifically mentions "New songs" 9 times (Psalm 33:3; 40:3; 96:1; 98:1; 144:9; 149:1; Isaiah 42:10; Revelation 5:9; 14:3).
Your brother in Christ,
- Manny
p.s. - if you have a "new song," consider sharing it with us. We want to stay fresh and on fire in our relationship with Christ.
